Woodstock Spring Ride

What a fabulous weekend for the Woodstock Spring Ride run by the team at the Lachlan Endurance Riders Club.

With over 120 entrants across the 20km, 40km and 80km events, we had some excellent results.

All 27 riders were successful in the 20km event. Starting your endurance journey at 20km is a great way to ease your way into the sport and any horse and rider combination can attempt this distance. We had about 50% Arabians, with the balance being made up stock horses, quarter horses, thoroughbreds plus a Waler, Brumby and even a Clydesdale.

There were two 40km events held over the weekend with only one vet out across both days.

The 80km ride saw the following results:

1ST Heavyweight - Ronnie Thomson riding Anglo gelding, Ranjen Andre in a time of 6:06 and achieving the BEST CONDITIONED award

2ND Heavyweight - Andrew Bailey riding Arabian gelding, Bullio Rogue Nation for Rogue's first 80km ride in a time of 6:39.

3RD Heavyweight - Marty Moran riding part Arabian, Globe Trotter in a time of 6:48.

1ST Middleweight - Sarah Parker riding part Arabian mare, Wongaburra Princess Hana and achieving the BEST CONDITIONED award in a time of 5:29.
